ABSTRACT：Two analysis method for eccentrically loaded bolt and weld groups are the instantaneous center of rotation method(IC method) and elastic method. The IC method is more reasonable and accurate, but requires an iterative solution by computer program or the use of tabulated design aids. This paper introduces the analysis procedure of IC method and the design method using tabulated design aids in ‘H-Section Connection Manual’ to be published soon.
