Review on the Load Transfer Provisions of Concrete-Encased H-Shape Composite Column

ABSTRACT： The external forces are applied to the composite column through direct connection to the steel column, bearing on the concrete, or a combination thereof. In this paper, it was compared and analyzed domestic and foreign building codes for load transfer and delivery area on the beam-to-column connections. In addition, the force transfer by direct bond for encased composite column is dealt. These data will be useful for establishing criteria about load transfer and delivery area of composite column.
